Living the 3RD!

I think the confirmation retreat was the best! I learned so much and felt like I was getting closer to my faith.

Friday: Left St.Denis around 4:45-5:00-ish. My bus buddy was GERICO!He wouldn't let me sleep,JERK! just kidding! I loves yous Gerico! There was traffic and arrived at Camp Mariastella around 8? We dropped off our bags in the dining room and went to the main room. We played a game to get to know a few people. Then we went into families and talked a little bit. Then we had a trust walk. We even went outside. It was so cold! Then we went back inside and played tag, except it's with two teams. One team has blue tape on there shoulder. Everyone in a circle sitting down, every other person with a sticker. 5 people are up on the same time, and has to pick a person that is the opposite of you [tape tagging no tape and vice versa] who ever has to most people up in there team, they lose. Then we took a break and had hot chocolate. Then we talked about one of the beatitudes. After, we went into families and discussed about it. Then we went to our cabins and went to bed. I barely slept, too uncomfortable for me. I bet i didn't fall asleep until 2.

Saturday: So I told Melissa the night before to wake me up so I can take a shower early. So she woke me up at 4:30! WTH! I was ready to take one until one of the cabin leaders told us we couldn't get out. So we had to go back to sleep -___- I didn't even sleep. So 7 everyone got ready and then went us for breakfast. We said a fun prayer and ate pancakes. It was good. After we played 'Elbow tag' Yeah it's hard to explain but it was fun. Then we continued listening to some more beatitudes, then went in our families and talked about it. Then we did some more activities then lunch. We ate tuna sandwich. After we learned another beatitude. Then we had break. It was the best! First me and twin went into our cabin for 15 minutes so I can do some of my homework. Then we met up with a few friends and had some snowball fight and make a snowman. Then I fell like 20 times. After, Gerico, twin, and Brandon wanted to go back and go to the waterfall the leaders were talking about. I wanted to change my shoes and then met the guys at the main cabin. It was me, Gerico, Twin, Brandon, and Ben. We all started walking there, then we saw this human See-Saw! We all started playing on it. The guys kept going back and forth. Then played on this rope thing where you have to balance yourself and make your self go to the other side then the rope swing. We went playing on the see-saw then saw some guys throwing snowballs at us. Which made us run away. So we continued on the hike. We were almost there until they rang the bell and had to go back. Then we played some games, saw the leaders do some skits, and talked some more on the beatitudes. Then we had a Christian band play and we all sang, which we pretty much did throughout the day. Then they made us do some meditation to get closer to God, and while doing that we had Confesion. I never knew how good it felt to do confession. After everyone was done we had dinner. They made us sit with our families. Then we went to mass and did the Divine Mercy. After, we talked about a beatitude and then told us to write a letter to God. We all did and then put our letters in the fire place. After we did blessings to each other which took forever. After we went into families and prayed. We got letters from people and made everyone cry. Then we went back to our cabins and found out it was already 1:00 AM. At the cabins me, Melissa, and twin all talked about how we are all going to miss the retreat. Then off we went to bed.

Sunday: LAST DAY! I think I had the most sleep that night. The funny alarm woke me up. So I got ready, packed everything and took everything to the Main Cabin. I wrote letters to my Secret Angel and a few others. Then we all ate breakfast. Yay french toast! Then my family had clean up duty. After we watched some skits, played more games, and listened for some more beatitudes. Then lunch, yay for hamburgers. We had a few friends and had some leaders. Leaders Patrick and Stephan made everyone laugh in out table with the best impressions on how a guy would like a girl in high school, then in middle school, then in elementary, we all cracking up. Then we had a 15 minute break and then the leaders made one of the best skits ever. Then talked to our families, then more beatitudes. Then another break. Then we all had to go into our families for the last time. Then we received our crosses and my family played the hand game. We were all pros at it and then we played with our feet. So funny. Then we played boom chicka boom boom. After everyone was done we all had to find our Secret Angel. EPIC FAIL! Then we had break and found out our bus is here. Then the leaders made us go in our families and played the Pirate game. YAY! My family won! Then we all got our bags and went to the bus. Most of us had to carry our bags in the bus since there was no more room. The leaders said some words to us and we left. I wished we stayed longer, it was such a good experience. I would of never replaced it with anything.

And we all LIVED THE 3RD!
